Due to time constraints, starting a family, increased work at SCEE and returning to study, this site has been neglected some what. Due to amount of spam and sql injection attacks I'm receiving, I am now closing the site for new sign ups and course uploads. I have just moved the site to a brand new web host. There is now plenty of room for more courses. The transition seems to have been fairly smooth, but ifyou do notice anything not working, please let me know.

You've probably noticed I've not done a great deal to this website in quite some time. I would firstly like to applogise for this, my excuse being the huge amounts of time I've spent with my fulltime job at Sony.

I've recently just finished work on the game 'Getaway 2 - Black Monday', which has kept me occupied this last year and a bit. I'm afraid its not open source, doesn't contain penguins and doesn't run under Linux, however it does pay for the roof over my head and the hosting bills for this site. So if you've got a PS2 and fancy helping keep the site running, why not go out and buy a copy of the game, every little helps my royalties.

I know Getaway 2 ain't quite as good as GTA:SA, but its still a pretty good game and worth buying. :)

My current work, recently put me on a 'Programming for SQL' course, where I learnt quite a bit about databases and how to get best performance out of them. Well I've put some of it into practice with this site, so you should notice a bit of speed improvement in the queries used on this site.

I've tweaked the scripts on the site to allow you to include some html in your messages, reviews and course descriptions. Basically the tags you want you put in ' [ ] ' brackets. At the moment your only allowed [ b ], [ i ], [ u ] and [ a href="..." ] tags. Let us know if you come across any problems with it.

I've had some success with building courses for version 1.1 of Tuxracer (the commercial version). We can now get some basic courses into it. The biggest thing I haven't cracked yet, is all the objects on the course (trees, flags etc). Check out the article here.

I've added the ability to update reviews you've made. Should be useful, if you want to reconsider that rating you gave. Or if the course you slated has suddenly been fixed of all its fallacies.

Course Hit Statistics	Thu 16th Jan 2003, 06:49
Just added some code to record how many hits each course gets. Which should be interesting to see which courses are the most popular. Note though that the stats will only update once a day, else I'll be be parsing the access logs and hammering the database too much. :)
